Attorney Jeff Weinstein
A powerful partner in your pursuit of justice
"I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. My family had several mom and pop businesses. My dad is a pharmacist and had his own pharmacy. My mom worked with my dad several years and then became a Realtor. My paternal grandfather owned a hardware store and my maternal grandfather was an automobile mechanic. Today, I practice law using lessons I learned from my family and these businesses. There was one common theme: treat the customer like your favorite cousin."
- Jeff Weinstein
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Jeff Weinstein learned from his family about the importance of hard work and helping others. Jeff's great-grandfather helped build stockyards in Texas more than a century ago. One grandfather owned a hardware store. The other owned an automobile engine repair business. His father ran a pharmacy. His mother was a successful realtor and founder of an estate sale business. Jeff saw how well his family members treated the people who came to them for help. It's a lesson that guides him to this day as an attorney at Weinstein Law in Athens, TX.
After graduating from high school, Jeff attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a degree in finance. He then decided that to really help people, he needed to be a lawyer, not an accountant. So he earned a law degree from the law school at Southern Methodist University. He worked his way through law school as a talent agent - arranging for bands to play at events at college campuses all over Texas and Oklahoma.
Jeff began his legal career at a small insurance defense firm before becoming an assistant district attorney in Dallas. During that time, he gained valuable courtroom experience, prosecuting more than 300 jury trials to verdict. He then moved to a Wall Street firm based in Dallas, where he learned even more about handling car wrecks and insurance claims.
Then Jeff decided to make the move to plaintiff's law, where he could help people who had been injured through no fault of their own. He realized people were being taken advantage of by insurance companies. He also realized as their attorney, he could help them fight back to recover the financial compensation they deserve.
Today, Jeff remains as dedicated as ever to fighting for the injured in Henderson County and throughout East Texas. He helps people who have been hurt in car wrecks, truck collisions, motorcycle crashes, claims against drunk drivers and distracted drivers and other types of personal injury accidents. He guides them through every step of the legal process. And he is always ready to listen to their concerns or answer their questions. He even gives clients his own cell phone number.
Outside the law office, Jeff is dedicated to helping the community. He is also a real estate broker and likes to golf when he can find the time. Whether it's as a lawyer or a member of the community, Jeff is proud to be an advocate for people in Henderson County and throughout East Texas.
