Dr. Diana Kerwin
Brain Trauma Specialist
Dr. Diana Kerwin serves as a dedicated Brain Trauma Specialist for Weinstein Law. Dr. Kerwin brings her knowledge and expertise to a wide range of personal injury cases that benefit from the insights of a medical specialist who focuses on brain trauma-related injuries.
With more than two decades of experience in memory disorder research, Dr. Kerwin is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, holding active medical licenses in Texas, California, and Wisconsin.
Before establishing her Dallas-based memory care center, she served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics at Northwestern University in Chicago. She was also a faculty member at the highly respected Northwestern University Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
Dr. Kerwin is a well-known speaker on Alzheimer’s and related dementias and has been a frequent guest on television programs covering these topics. Her leadership experience includes service on the National Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as time as Chair of the Dallas Chapter Board. She also held an adjunct faculty position in Neurology and Neuro-Therapeutics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She has partnered with various community organizations to increase access to dementia care for underserved populations, a cause that remains central to her work today.
Dr. Kerwin has acted as principal investigator on multiple NIH-funded studies targeting the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and participates in collaborative research involving frontotemporal dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders. Her clinical trial experience spans phase 1 through phase 3 studies, including work on conditions such as progressive supranuclear palsy and multiple system atrophy.
Her vision for memory care integrates clinical expertise, groundbreaking research, and strong community engagement to better support patients and families affected by all forms of dementia.
